To me it wasn't just about grip in the wet but more about feel / feedback, racing a 130bhp Fireblade in Streetstocks at a very wet Thruxton it was easy to break traction but the road tyres were so predictable it was fun, just as the Wet DD race at Assen was a few years ago when on the Diablos.

But I'm hoping for good weather as I just don't seem to be able to push the bike as hard as I once did and i'm certainly not getting the most from these tyres yet, hence quite a few bike mods since Anglesey as I try to get back to my 2005/6 setup that had me collecting Pots and front row starts in Class B and NG Minitwins

As for Lap times Hugh I've seen you breeze bast me as if I was stood still, so if you learn the track quick enough and get the bike setup right you should be right up there competeing for the lap record and with Snett being Neal's local track it would be nice to see him up there also. Then there are the other usual suspects such as Kev P, who has some lost ground to make up and that old codger Alan who's getting quicker all the time and has already tried the new circuit. So dispite the long circuit it could be close racing up the front of the Class B field

I didn't realize it was Neal's home track? I thought Brands was? He was good there last year though, and it is about time he bucked up his ideas! Alan was quick there last year, it is his home track, and is one of the few to have been there... So let's all follow him for a change.

I'm not racing this weekend. I'm just there for the craic!

Sprocket??? I thought that was the dog in Fraggle Rock!!

Is it the spikey round thing the metal drive belt goes round?

I've got a choice of 14 or 15 front with a 40 something on the back, will try both if I can be ar*ed swapping them between sessions.

That's assuming I go, mum's been taken into hospital and if I can get a refund I'll be ducking out of this one. If not I'll be there on fast return standby and possibly not with my head in the right frame of mind, mum's told me not to be a d*ck head an waste over £200.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight that matters, but the size of the fight in the dog.
