I use a bog standard 916/748 one, though some people have upgraded to brembo billet type. Works ok and is cheap to replace blades on etc. For the resevoir i have a brembo 15ml unit mounted on the top yoke. its the same set up on my 853r, and never had any problems.

A solid coffin one get a smack means its totally written off. Thats why race bikes use ones with a remote resevoir. I had plenty of offs (yes plenty) and never damaged the resevoir.
