Mood: R U thinking what I'm thinking?......Oh dear!
B998,

The price for the second hand Bostrom is what you should used to get them up their offer if need be.

Only pay what the salvage is worth to you. Do some realistic costs of what you think it will cost to repair. Are you gonna do it all yourself?

Then when they make you an offer for the bike, take off what you think will be the costs to you to arrive at what will be a reasonble price for the salvage to you.

It is all too easy to underestimate the costs, believe me, little bits can soon add up or you end up spending ages getting all the bits together second hand. There can be a load of hassle involved in repairing a crashed bike and if you ever want to sell it people can be wary.

The nightmare free option is take the cash and buy another one, but with a relatively rare bike like this trying to find another could be a problem!!

Hope this helps.
