Indeed! I had a rummage of that, minutes after slinging up the original question, and will definitely revert to road setting. It's worth a fettling session methinks, and might remove the uncertainty from B-road shire zooping! As for track, well, booked for the PB thingit on July 6th at Cadwell( yes, i know, there's a crucial one on the 9th too - maybe, if funds permit!) so i'll see how it behaves on track too.
