Yes I've got Nigel Wrights 800ss it puts out 71 brake and 50 torques. I know Nigel had one on the road which was mild tuned at 80 plus brake and with a few grand I think it'll make 90 plus. Nigel won NGRCC mini twins champ 2007 and was leading in 2008 before retiring so they are capable. But for super twins then maybe start with a 796. Alan off here Bally has one too he raced with Wirral.

On paper the 796 Monster sounds good, but after test riding one I felt my S2R 800 Monster had a better engine, not sure the 796 would be any better than the 800s already used. And TWPDs tyre bill was well outside any notion of Budget racing as is the case with anybody running at the front of Minitwins or other classes using a big cc Ducati.

When Dallas raced his 1098 at Pembrey in 2009 he would have needed at least 3 rear tyres to get through the whole weekend, luckily he didn't race it on the Sunday so saved himself some money by going out and setting a new Class B record aboard his DD bike

A lot will depend on the idea of the budget size

Looking at it I doubt it is is going to be on a budget. But racing with work will make it easier to get away racing, will also look good on my reports, not have to take days off my holiday to go racing. The Oils and fluid deal has already been done, leathers wil be getting fitted at end of year. And hoping my current sponsors will stump up some more tyres.

I was thinking 800 but like its been said to get it up to speed and bhp its going to take some amount of money.

So think a tricked up 748. Then I'll be able to race with the 600's but also golden era.
