On paper the 796 Monster sounds good, but after test riding one I felt my S2R 800 Monster had a better engine, not sure the 796 would be any better than the 800s already used. And TWPDs tyre bill was well outside any notion of Budget racing as is the case with anybody running at the front of Minitwins or other classes using a big cc Ducati.
When Dallas raced his 1098 at Pembrey in 2009 he would have needed at least 3 rear tyres to get through the whole weekend, luckily he didn't race it on the Sunday so saved himself some money by going out and setting a new Class B record aboard his DD bike
A lot will depend on the idea of the budget size
