Please do delete this post if I have broken any rules but as a fellow Duke owner I though it might be of interest.
We
www.connected-uk.com are going through quite an explosive phase of growth over the last 6 months or so and need to look to off-load some simple design/build of front-end web development to a freelancer at the moment with a view to maybe look at another full-time developer.
Since most of you lot on here seem to be web jockeys of varying levels I thought I would start here before the agencies get their teeth into our profit margins.
In an ideal world we are looking for:
1. Full-time freelancers (i.e. not evening/weekend workers)
2. Must write good, stable XHTML code in something like Dreamweaver
3. Be happy with SQL, Javascript and PERL/PHP code implementations (not developing)
4. Has some design flair (although design run-out are provided)
5. Be proper companies/sole traders etc so we can pay you easily and you are covered with correct insurances etc...
6. Be flexible on working hours and rates
7. Be serious about doing this for at least a year
8. Happy to sign NDA's and various other commercial IP protection stuff.
9. Be based in and around London or Yorkshire
10. Have the time to potentially spend 40 hours or more per month doing work for us.
11. Have a billing system that we can understand and manage.
