Mine is a 2005 (2004 model year) with 30,000 on the clock - no sign of any of the issues referred to.

Draw your own conclusions.

As above. I've had mine from new with about 24,000. Also I have never had any starting issues.

The fuel pump relay had a problem from water ingress but was quickly remedied.

Never heard of problems 1,2 or 4 there were a few problems with coils but nothing major. If the bikes only done 3000 miles in 10 years the the battery will be flat unless it's on an optimate and even then i still replace mine every 3/4 years.
Does the person who 'services them for a living' work at Ducati main dealer or a Ducati specialist? If they don't then i'd suggest they don't know what they're talking about.

Thanks for all your feedback, as always I find it best to speak to the people who actually own and run the machines.
Thanks again

With that low mileage, the belts may have been static for a long time. Even if they were changed within the 2 year service period.

I would be looking at changing them straight away.

Hope you get it, they are great machines.
