Best Biking hints and tips

Always check whats behind you before you open it up.

Going thru the roadworks on the M60 today where there is a 40mph limit and 1 speed camera i was following a fully marked up dayglo Police Merc ML270.

Guy in car directly in front of police car passes speed camera doing 40 then immediately puts foot down without looking in his mirrors.

Result was blue lights and interview on the hard shoulder once out of the roadworks. What a dork.

Travel as lite as poss when on holiday on bike.

I always take old socks, undies and sometimes t-shirts and just throw them away instead of repacking and taking them home.

Leaves more room for wine on the return journey

Despatch riders lunch

Wrap pie in foil and wedge in behind the cylinders and carbs.

Couple of hours later you have a nice hot pie (perfect in winter)

NB. doesn't work very well on flat twin BMW's

Come on give us your best biking tips and hints.

My tips. Wave to bike cops there bikers too and if your abiding by the law you should treat them the same as any other biker.
Nod to traffic cops laying in wait but are very visable these cops dont want to nik you just slow you down and a frendly nod or wave goes a long way.
BDG Is that the m60 roadworks near Sale Water Park?

I agree wiff waving or nodding to Traffic cops on bikes, nearly always get a "respectful" wave or nod in response
Storing up the brownie points should I need 'em

Bang on, Sale waterpark.

Couldn't stop laughing at the plank this morning for being so careless.

Do you live south side and use that stretch?

Nearly always get a nod in return from the griptwisting smokeys round here, maybe they're getting to know me
