I manage to do most of the usual service stuff myself, the only thing i leave to a trusty mechanic is the belts, as to the fuel inj settings thats getting done at my local dyno centre, so they can set up my power commander. :-)

If I get stuck I'll just pester my *mate, he's a bit of a whizz with engine management type thingywotzits. ( *you know who you are, and can usually be bought for a Big Mac and a doughnut)
You should be able to tackle most of the service yourself, but to sort the fuel injection properly, you'll need a CO meter and either a Mathesis or similar to adjust the fuelling. The 1.5M ECU doesn't have a mechanical trimmer like the 748/9*6, but instead is a software trim. You may be able to pull the cylinders in line with the air bleeds if your lucky though.
