The ST4 has around 105 - 107bhp depends what you read so it has a bit more power than the 1000DS...

I was basing my suggestion on the power of your ST2 - if you want around 100bhp or more, you gots to go the ST3/ST4S route (in view of your comments on the 996BP!). Or hang tough 'til next year, maybe an affordable 749/999 will turn up. That'd be best
