What would you do.

OK, so I've just sold the 996 to a rather nice lady from down Saff. Said lady expects to take delivery and pay my wedge sometime next month.

Given that I loved that bike to distraction, and given that in earlier posts I claimed to be giving up road riding and concentrating on flying, and further given that I have a very low mileage black ST2 sat doing very little in the garage.

Would you:

A) Paint said ST2 (The Royal Barge) in Mclaren West colours - an ambition I have held for a long time?
B) Trade said royal barge in for a Numptystrada and have fun?
C) Use cash from sale of 996 to pay off debts?
D) Use cash from sale to knob off to the states and do even more flying?
E) Buy a bucket load of wimin and have a night to remember - is that politically correct?
F) None of the above

Tough choice eh?

The part of me I struggle to repress all the time says pay off your debts.

The part I encourage all the time says go the numptystroodle!

Yeah it's a right bugger that little voice chirping away saying "Be sensible, be sensible"

A) Don't. It'll look gash.
B) My preferred option. Get a black one and add titanium Termis.
C) Sensible approach. Not an option.
D) Go to the US? Are you nuts?
E) Boring.

I'm thinking of having my conscience removed, it cramps my style somewhat.

Why paint a bike like a car? or do you mean like the Honda West bikes? In which case why paint a Duke like a Honda?

Go get the MultiStrada, you know it makes no sense at all, which is just why you should do it.

Get the Hamsterstraddle, in black with a solid fuel rocket on the back....

Or, do as this italian geezer did at Snet a couple of weeks back, and get a shagged 900 monster, remove everything in front of the yokes, stick black renthals on, a leather tank cover and a pair of termis. It was just rude.

Then you'd have something suitably hooligan for the road, and you could chuck a couple of grand at your debts. Smiles all round.

Good luck,

Ali

Still got this thing about a West colour scheme. Saw a 9** painted in similar vein at last Track Attack and it lit my candle.

Or I could learn to ride the barge properly and swan about on track days with the side panniers on.
