Are you saying Sheene didn't speak with his bike? He won many of his races with inferior bikes not as Foggy did with the superior bike in a series that was run by Italians and designed for an Italian bike to win
Are you also saying that Foggerty was not a self publicist?

Il presidente......

should be someone we can all look up to (easy for me, I'm 3 and a half inches shorter than a year ago :P ) and, hopefully, someone we could all stand a chance of meeting and talking to at a reasonable level, I've only ever spoken to Mr C.Fogarty once and although he gave a veneer of friendliness to us, his fans at the time, it seemed to be just a chore for him, there's no sincerity in them thar Foggy eyes!
Not like good ol Frankie, when you're talking to him you cannot help but be taken by his open enthusiasm for people, if we could get him to turn up at our "annual function" (anybody for dinner?) then I'd happily vote him in.
I wouldnt want someone to be OUR president, honorary or not, that didnt make an effort to see what the club was about.
Has Mr Fogarty ever been invited to one of our events? If not why not? If he has, and he hasnt been seen at one, then why keep him as president? If Mr P.Smart is keen to drop in and see what we're about then I'd vote for him, anyway, it's partly his fault you lot have got me to contend with cos I got into bikes when he and then Bazza did the biz!
You dont have to be heavily involved with the club Mr president, just take an interest, whoever you are!

Van - does that mean all us of the more advanced years have to lave and join the DOC?!!!!!

Anyway my vote goes to Paul Smart - he might actually take an interest. Foggy used to be my hero until I read his book and listened to some of the rubbish he's spouting out now.

Paul Smart rides his Multistrada on a regular basis.
Some Zimmer Frame.
Which modern day Ducati does Foggy ride?
