Hi guys, I have been having charging problems with my '97 ducati 600ss so proceeded with trying a new reg/rec.
Only problem, it arrived in the post with completely different wires, so I attempted to wire it up myself, but with no success.
I hope somebody on here can help please!!!!

Here is how I wired it up -
reg/rec wires ---- bike wires
yellow x 2 ---- yellow x2
red ---- red/white striped
white ---- red/white striped
green ---- green x 2 (I connected together)

Can anyone offer any ideas?

600ss seems to be different from what I expected of the SS series but here is some info from Electrex:

It looks like wemoto didn't send the matching one for my bike, although I think I've matched up the wires as it says.
Does it look like I've got it wrong somewhere? Sorry for the noob questions, I'm not good with this kind of thing...

Forgot to mention, on that electrix link, I wasa sent the rr51. The rr52 looks just like the one that came off the bike.

Also forgot to mention, the bike is getting about 13v at the battery when the engine is running...

No problem, yours is the RR52 (type) - I fitted an Electrex unit on two different bikes and they are still going strong. I'd recommend them.

So will the rr51 reg/rec work on mine? That's the replacement I was sent in the post. I'm just confused how to wire it, there's 5 wires on it and six wires on the bike...
Should the red and green wires go directly onto the bike battery terminals? I assume the r/r's two yellow wires attach to the two yellow wires on the bike?
