Thanks chaps ..

.. unless anyone else knows differently I'll go with 32F 36R for road and drop them a couple of lbs for track. They do take their time to heat up don't they Jools - feels like I've got a puncture for the first few miles. One thing - I thought dropping the pressure ensured quicker warm up due to the increase friction of the tyre being moved around more .. no doubt someone will enlighten me
