What does the assessment consist of ?

Does anyone know ?

If it's along the same lines as the classroom theory test, I assume that as long as you can find 1st gear you will have passed.

I agree that it seems to be just another way for the ACU to cover their arse in the event of a fatality and to make more money.

"They were thoroughly trained and assessed as fit for racing" therefore we are not blameworthy in any way.

Who does the assessing ?

Big responsibility for a volunteer instructor without qualification ?

Are the Scottish ACU doing it ?

Does it happen in other forms of bike sport ?

The amount of questions I'm asking shows how much I read the regs !

I understand for Hottrax it's Kev Palmer and he has his ACU course on the 17th

I'll be signing up for Class B at some point. Doubt I will make all the races, but want to get to a few and actually finish some this time round!

But I agree, the new process for the ACU is a bit crap really. Not sure it would have put me off last year, but it would have added expense and hassle trying to get the license sorted.

I'm not involved in it Neil so don't have the details, but from what Kev P said I think it's at the ACU in Rugby on the 17th, but could be totally wrong.

Had a look earlier on the ACU web site without any success but being a numpty northerner it doesn't surprise me. Gonna ring them next week.
