its a bremsankerplatte for a Achsdurchmesser 23 mm, it says so! you need one of those you know.....

looks like a floating rear brake caliper mount???
Not sure about the 23mm measurement though

nelly, you might be right, it does look like that sort of thing.
looks good enough to buy just for the hell of it
23mm might be spindle diameter, or caliper mounting space.

23mm is to small for a caliper mount. Could be the rear axle diameter though.

from a translation site......................
"For Ducati 851/888 Racing, aluminum brake anchor plate, NEW, oh diameter 23 mm".

It'd need a torsion bar making up to though. I floated the rear caliper on my old Pantah with a similar gadget

Hey, I'm really impressed.... I was thinking it looked like a rear caliper hanger.......then I read on and found you blokes saying that it probably is !!

.. and I'm a guurrrlll .....

Its actually a dipthrong wobulator thats normally fitted to the MkII double reciprocating frou frou valve on the latter engines with the double overhead underhang..................I think!
