A friend was out riding with his buddy at a about 60mph sees a car parked up alongside a hedge. Thinks nothing more of it but it is obvious there is trouble ahead as everyone coming the other way is signalling. Friend pulls over to discuss with buddy is it worth going on with obvious trouble ahead. About a minute later an unmarked car pulls up with one PC inside and says they were speeding after they passed him doing 62 on the gun then accelarated. Shows laser gun with 83 at 1100 ft away plus. says he is going to do both, how can he have goth both bikes going away? Hitting both bikes at that distance. On checking the paperwork buddies see that different locations on the same road given, wrong CC on for one bike, producer asked for MOT ofr one bike which didn't need it, also class given as m/cycle when tax disk and DVLA says bicycle.

Are these buddies just another statistic or will they get a fair hearing if they decide to take it to the magis. to dispute location, sloppy paperwork and PC not following ACPO laser guidelines. e.g. Not 10ft from roadside, not clearly visible to target vehicle, not taken account of cosine effect, etc.

If the paperwork is wrong get a lawyer-they have to have the paperwork correct-if your mates plead not guilty and go to court themselves they will get turned over, if they take a brief they stand a much better chance.
ACPO guidelines are just that, guidelines, they don't HAVE to stick to them but usually do to save hassle.

Had a moment this morning with a copper stood up in a entrance with blue jumper on. Didnt click at first. Hoping I wasnt doing more than 60mph. It was a dual carriageway nsl. Plz o plz dont want the points

dual carriage way being defined by central res then, even if road is in effect four lanes wide.

Is a road with 2 lanes each side, central reservation and no stated speed limit always a dual carriageway and therefore 70 limit? My last ticket was for doing 42mph on such a stretch of road, though in a fairly built up area with several junctions with traffic lights.

3to4 mile stretch of road from Bournemouth.... Dual carriageway, central reservation, 3 roundabouts, 50 mph limit and 7.... yes you read correctly...7 Gatso's !!!

And as for nsl... in my area nobody seems to understand what that little white circle with a black diagonal through it actually means !
