Hi all hope someone can help?

When i was giving the 748 a good clean today i noticed that i could move the shock side to side in the mount on the swing arm? cant see the top mount so dont know if its moving at this point?
Any idea's

is it actually side to side or are you twisting it on the rose joint??
If there is actual side to side play then the rod end is likely to be shot.
If in doubt, get a second pair of eyes on it or compare with another bike.

Thanks for the reply took the shock off and found the rose joint needs to be renewed so going to get the shock serviced while its off the bike
