What can i say other than thanks. Some interesting points.

The battery was the original 4 year old Yuasa which was replaced with a brand new YB16AL-A2. Was supposedly charged by the dealer i got it from before i picked it up, but is on the Optimate at home now.

If that doesn't work i guess its time to check the wiring or maybe cam timing. I guess from what you say its not worth changing the starter gears.

If you ever get over to Manchester i owe you a pint.
