I need the two tail section peices that go either side of the rear light on an 851 flat side single seat unit (SP2/3 type)
they are black and either rubber or plastic

even I wouldn`t ask for them..............................but if anyone has got the blanking plugs for rear mudguard for a 888,that would be nice

I guess you mean the black surround, like the one on this Sp3?

851/888 bodywork and bits were hard to comeby when the bikes were in production, you're gonna struggle with this one.

spot on keefyb, they are the said items.
both sides are the same part number.
I would really like to get them, they finish the whole seat unit off.

PS, where did you get that pic mate.

cheers

Are you sure there are two parts? I looked on the SP3 this afternoon, and it looks like it's all one piece...

nope, not sure at all andrew.
baines said there were two pieces, but there may only be one. I have not had a good close-up look at one before to see either way.
Can I burrow yours mate to get a template from it.
looks like a bit of DIY is needed.

cheers

Silly question - have you actually asked someone like JHP or Baines to see if the part is still available? They might just be interested enough to try... Failing that, you could try asking on the Ducati 851 group on Yahoo.com? There are some helpful folk there (although many are in the US).

tried all duc dealers andrew inc baines/JHP etc, all say that this part is not readily available now, unless there is any old stock at the factory
still looking at other possible sources.
