There is a big debate going on where I live in Cambridgeshire at the moment about the A14-it's only 2 lanes and is always blocked up with lorries and has a VERY bad accident record. The latest wheeze is to stop the lorries and bolock them about 'slow overtaking' which causes congestion............How about bolocking the idiot of a traffic planner who decided that a main road linking the midlands to the east coast ports only needed 2 lanes-because the lorries will all drive down the M1, round the M25 and back up the A12 like they have always done-yeh of course they will-especially when the newer route is 30 miles shorter...................IDIOTS John  | |
