Has anyone been to Brno?

I'm already planning next year's raid on the continent to watch a bit of racing, and the new WSB race at Brno looks interesting...

Have any of you well travelled ladies and gents been to a race at Brno and have any info on what the place is like and if the surrounding area is OK for us Brits with bikes to stay? I know nothing about the Czech Republic - so any info would be good.

Even better, have you ever ridden to Brno, as we'll take a ride over there - are there any Diucati dealers so I can rebuild the SPS when I get there!?
Cheers

Giles

Couple of my mates have been on their Dukes, no problems from what I gather, although they did say the roads aren't too great, and the fuel can be a bit hit and miss, as for parking/leaving your bike etc, on race day there's plenty of parking outside run by the locals, basically pay them peanuts to look at your bike in admiration all day from what I gather.

Might seem a bit scary, but they've been back twice now, so must be OK.

I understand that the G.P. there is heavily frequented by the Germans and is one huge party. Fine if you like beer, sausages and East European *****s!

Some of my mates went in 2002 and had a great time as jpmercer said the side roads were a bit ify but the motorways and main roads were ok.
they love there biking out there and they said they were made very welcome. They also said the parking and security and traffic movement at the race track put us to shame very well organized.
Well worth a vist.
