Exhaust polishing

:P

Hello peeps,

Im in the mood for getting the exhaust pipes on the 748 polished. Now I could spend hours with the polishing mops and Autosol but as my time is short, anyone know of a reputable firm that could do this for me?

Or,

What about getting them chromed? Anyone had this done?

Im around the North London area if anyones used firms near to this area.

Cheers,

DC.

justr spent most of yetserday on mine - the foirst two sections are nearly complete but the next 4 aren't quite as good. Boring and messy job - in hindsight pay someone else if its only £50!

Ah. Just seen the price of polishing. Well worth it for the look, although probably not going to bother until the spring as I may be riding it as a commuter bike through the winter as can't afford to buy a second bike right now.

Thanks for the replies chaps,

Thats the thing about doing it yourself. You need a workshop etc. I havent got that luxury anymore. Ive polished countless ali bike frames in the past.

I think that If I were to start with the old polishing kit in the spare bedroom of the flat, even my understanding wife would hit the roof.

I think that I will have a ring around.

Cheers,

DC.

I used to do all the polishing of items myself too.
because I thought it would be to expensive to get done elsewhere. I used to get quotes from bike shops, and nearly fell over when they told me how much.
Then got thinking lets cut out the middle man and see if I can find out where they are going to get it done.
Its the same with my frame which is just being sprayed now, if I had gone to a bike shop it would be in the hundreds of pounds mark.
so good on ya DC get that yellow pages out
