I used to do a lot of events in the forests of Wales in the 90's. I have won stuff but, you know what it's like, unless you're competing regularly it's difficult to be competative. It takes me a run of least 4 events to get the pace back. Plus my co-driver is a buddy and this is his first event as a sac-of-spuds, oops, I mean valuable member of the team. But this is my local event so it's a good one to dust off the car and provides a deadline to get it finished - both the engine and gearbox has been rebuilt. And if it breaks, it's not so far to trailer it back  Since there's next to no chance of winning anything I won't be trying to go fast - I'll be out to see how sideways I can get it on each corner   |
