Yes, the driver did stop - had to as the car had left the road too. No, it wasn't a 'lady' driver :P It was father and son dropping off the daughter to Royal Holloway College for the new term – son driving dad’s car, probably for the experience as he was just a lad. They didn't know which way to go and realised too late that the exit off the roundabout they wanted was the one that they had already effectively missed... but took it anyway.
Of course, once it became apparent that they hadn’t in fact killed me, it was suddenly all my fault. Refer to previous comment about what people are.
Whilst no one stopped to offer help or witness, I did have a disposable camera with me so got shots of the scene & damage.
The last ‘incident’ I had was 67,000 bike miles ago so perhaps I was due a reminder of the truth behind the dangers that we face as bikers.

Glad to hear you're ok mate and that it wasn't the 999. There are a lot of prats out there, mainly wearing trilby hats and driving immaculate Nissan Micras at 10 mph under the speed limit. If I ever see one of those I always give them a very very wide bearth!!!!
Bikes: have owned 748/853/916/749/853R/748/848 not sure whats next...

its not the micra's or volvo's now its those bl00dy land rovers and people carriers down our way. now people can remortgage and get a new car they all go for these big silly things they dont know how to drive
IMHO shouldn't leave home without one, less than a fiver and priceless for insurance details (cos it gives an idea of weather conditions as well. Avatar was from disposable)

Bet it was a woman driver, tsk!
You say it was the son...but I bet it was his mum that taught him.
Glad you're "OK" Rally even though the bruising is yet to arrive. Get yourself off to hospital and get checked out.
So that pic is for real then Alan? I wasn't sure that was even possible What did the driver have to say about that little incident? "Sorry mate, didn't see you" wouldn't really cut it, huh?
