Ye Olde 600SS - refurbishment

I have an old 600SS built in the Cagiva days. I want to keep it for old times sake and I'm thinking of taking it to bits this coming winter to have the paintwork sorted out (usual scratches and flakes as well as damage to the front wheel due to fluid leaking).

My question is: Do I keep it 100% original (just re-paint and re-plate) or do I change the colours?

It currently has the gold/bronze frame, slightly darker gold/bronze wheels, gold+silver forks and silver swingarm. Everything else is standard red.

I like the idea of red frame, gloss black wheels.

Ideas? Comments?
