Thanks ......... all advice gratefully received.

Mel ... I've been in already. I bought the bike from CMW a couple of weeks ago and went upstairs a couple of times. Tried a few helmets on. You had a ducati one that fitted nicely ... but in red when i wanted silver or dark. Your patience was much appreciated and there was no hard sell.

And ... I agree with psychlist, it didn't come across as an advert to me either. Especially in light of the lack of hard sell i mentioned above.

Look guys, it was a gentle correction that's all. We love CMW and all who have met Mel know she's a great asset to them. Easy now - OK?

Jools,

The chin piece is held in place by a "Pop Stud" either side that's all!!!! They swivel around a metal point which you can loosen with a flat head screwdriver to remove for cleaning etc.......

The actual chin piece is a light weight material certainly not up to a full face frontal impact.......

I think in fairness Roof market them as an open face helmet and don't claim to offer any protection from the chin piece????

Regards

ScottyB

There is only one lid ARAI RX7 CORSAIR (saved me!) How much is your head worth? I have a ROOF as a stand in and it's comfy, quiet and a looker but vents not great, visibility not great and don't like the 'seat belt' style fastener.BUT it's half the price

Well, I took a trip to London today and picked up a Roof Diversion RO10 (Lemans - silver/grey) helmet and some Dainese boots and gloves from Sondel. It's not a cheap game is it?

Boots fit nice and comfy except I can't seem to get them done up that well with the trousers tucked in so will probably have to leave them on top.

And how difficult is it getting stuff from Ducati? I went to the London Central branch to try the Blade helmet but they didn't have any in my size! Similar whe4n I was looking for a bike. Phoned London Central about 2 s/h bikes to be told they were at Croydon. Drove up and neither bike was there!
