Ah, but it does pop up a warning, much like ZoneAlarm, when a program tries to access an unknown port. Did it with MSN Messenger for me, but I've since turned off the firewall as I don't need *3* on my system

I work for a software company and this SP2 update is causing not only our software but also alot of others to have problems with users who have updated to another buggy bill gates release.

It's not buggy at all, it just fundamentally changes the way the OS interacts with the network - which is where it causes grief.

You may live to regret that Antonye!!!

In my 8'ish years of working with MS products from support through to infrastructure architecture I have NEVER seen an SP come out and not require a hotfix or something because of a bug! In fact, I might do a quick search to see about any post-SP2 hotfixes ... if they're not there now, I'll do another tomorrow .....

why do you think there is a term bleeding-edge!!!

I might go to the pub for the next 3 bludy weeks cos that's how long it's gonna take me to download 100-200meg on a crappy 41k connection...
