I was at University College London (UCL) with the drummer's older brother, and he used to come and stay with us as a teenager. The group he is in have just been voted Best Act in the World by a monthly music magazine.

My sister used to work for Radio 1 years ago (and sang backing vocals for U2 when they recorded one of the Radio 1 sessions).

She then moved to work as a label manager for Warner Bros (I think) and got me a gig playing bass on Top Of The Pops for Fairground Attraction (playing 'it ASDA be-ee-ee-ee-ee-ee perfect') when they needed a session bass player in a big hurry. Got down there and couldn't play 'cos I needed an equity card - there goes my 15 minutes

Another claim to fame is that I once threw Black Lace out of the rehearsal studio my band was rehearsing in - we were double booked but we got there first and of course they tried the "do you know who we are" routine...I ask you? Trying to pull rank just cos you've had a crappy Eurovision song...resulted in a bit of 'Agadoo that ya bastid' and 'push pineapple up yer a...'

Oh and my other sister is a freelance TV director and just about to start directing the new series of 'Two pints....'

Nice. My cousin worked as a producer/director of adverts for many years, working with Walkers, Ford, Vauxhall, Rowntrees and lots of other companies to film their adverts. He also did the odd pop video, and used to employ my missus in them when they needed extras. He's now moved into television and is working on the Paul O'Grady (Lily Savage) Show at the mo - you'll spot the surname in the credits if you're at home when it's on...

Been in RiDE magazine and got asked for an autograph off the back of that Used to work at MCN and had a small piece published on the website and in the paper Did a test feature on a Fazer V Hornet V Bandit a while after I left there. Still know a few of them at Emap towers, so you may see myself or Couch appearing now and then to help out with features. I get to do more now then I did working at the place

Ended up on the end of Look North one winter.

I ignored a road closed sign up on the moors (bet that doesn't surprise RushJ!) to have thrash along a snow covered road, they filmed me driving along without me knowing, set it to music and played the result at the end of local news!!

Not quite! Although Matt Goss used to live in the same apartment block as me, next to Tower Bridge, so I used to bump into him quite a lot in the shop across the road or down in the underground parking.

My friend who was in a boyband in still only 22, even though they got ditched by the record company five years ago. Hard to believe they had a top 5 single, won numerous "Smash Hits" awards and toured Europe and Japan. Now he's a network manager for a media company!

My mate's brother has sold around 20 million albums to date and they've just announced a(nother) tour of Australia next year. It's quite handy cos his brother moved out to Aus last month, so I'm going to try an coincide a work trip to our Hong Kong / Tokyo / Singapore offices so I can go visit, and maybe go see them play as well.
