Chris glad you enjoy your Aston DBS V8.I,m sure its a fine example.
The one i look after occasionally has to be the most overrated pile of Shite ever to go on Gods highway.Typical of alot of small quantity handbuilt vehicles of that time.
This is a very early car i see that has led a average life so it hardly holds itself up as a perfect specimen. There are alot of cars around that disappoint once you get to drive them and thankfully a few that are a real surprise

My first ever car cost me a fiver. It was one of these...

Only mine was registered 277 MMY and was duly named Emmy

1200cc Sidevalve engine, 3 speed crash gearbox (reverse was where 1st normally is - with no gate!!! ), cable operated drum brakes, semi-elliptical transverse suspension, 6 volt electrics and wipers that were vacuum operated from the inlet manifold (they slowed down or stopped when you put your foot down).

I used to get the **** ripped out of me by all my mates, cos they were working while I was at Uni and they could all afford at least £50 for their cars.

I wish I still had the old girl though

Mood: Just fallen in love with road riding again!
Italian only for me, not technically classic but i love it...

1991 Lancia Delta Intergrale 16v, Italian import so no rust! came to GB in 1998. proper italian spec, leather, trick dash with laptimer!, aircon, full power motor etc etc. had it about 4 years and love it. Never had a single problem with it either!??!!? and goes like stink. Arbath Chip and exhaust otherwise standard.

doesn't stack up on the spec sheet compared to friends modern Jap sports stuff but WAY more fun, way more character and makes you feel like a driving god! heart pumping stuff.

748RS race bike (well, 853 but who\'s counting!)
999S road bike,

Mines again possibly to new to be termed a classic but i'd say its a definitive 80's car. 1986 sierra cosworth 3dr, black, with only 42,000 on the clock.
Had it 7 years now, hardly drive it but when i do its always a teenage dream fulfilled,a great old car imo

chap who has worked for me for 15 years has a MK1 Escort with a Cosworth engine in it.Putting Green injectors in it this week and a new fuel pump and remap should bring him up to 400bhp.Looks like a pretty standard RS 2000 from the outside
