When you see one of these, you have just kinda got to.........

Been quite a few comments on here about the newer arm will fit, but, the suspension linkage is different and will not work 100% .... I think JPM knows more about this.

Bit of a myth mate. The kit thats in that picture is all you need, to change to a later arm (dependant on type of exhaust of course) you may need to alter the brake pipe as well to make it sit better, what else you choose to change is down to personal preference!

I sit corrected. It is worth while doing as the newer arm does look much better.

I'm guessing you're getting the kit Andy? We did actually discuss the various different linkage options and there are a few believe me , but John knows what's best I guess

You wouldnt believe there could be so many variables.........
Itching to get my frame back and start putting it back together........

Thought that was the sign of a job well completed? wondered why mine was rattling a bit... I'm toying with going down the same route as bolds, so will be interesting to see how long it takes you Andy. I've a feeling that the end product will be well worth the effort though...

Andy and bolds - either of your projects would make a great technical article for Pronto

You still need to get those cone nuts off the ignition?

Get the right sized bolt to fit into the thread of the cone nut, about 40mm long or so will do, then wind a nut onto it.
Now wind the nut and bolt into the threaded cone so you've got lots of thread in there, then wind the nut up to the cone and tighten it right up.
Now you can start to undo the bolt and it should undo the cone nut. If not, tighten up the nut some more and try again.
Finally hold the bolt and slacken the nut, then you can spin off the cone nut.

HTH.
