I have a meeting that should finish around 11:30'ish so we should be there around 12-12:15.

You could always use my tactic - when he phones to sort out meeting at the pub, tell him you'll be there in 5 minutes. Then wait another 5 minutes before leaving so he's always first there.

For those of you who couldn't make it, it seems to be turning into a regular thing. I'm only in London on Thursday's at the moment (although that could change as of Monday) so a pint at lunch is a good idea
