Plugging
went out this weekend for a blast round, only to ride past a bad accident. There was quite a bit of glass around so took it steady and rode past (the police were already there) I then felt the bike start to weave. Yes, I had a lump of glass in my back tyre.

The tyre was a Brand new (20 miles) Diablo corsa, the glass was right in the centre of the tyre, can I get it repaired? or do I need to buy another new tyre? If it can be repaired how safe would it be?

Cheers

Rich

had mine plugged, done about 2k miles and 1 trackday since - diablo rear NOT corsa - and has been OK, but always checking pressures - how many miles have you done so far and what is it going to do? Get a good place to do it - FWR in london is my recommendation - dave(big fat guy) rides like a demon and is in business 'cos he knows what people who ride bikes want - he owns FWR by the way.

Whats the worst thats going to happen if the plug comes out? The tyre will deflate, probably slight quicker than the original punture because the enlarged the hole to put the bung in. It certainly wont explode. My rear 208 was plugged and has done three trackdays since. I dont give it a secod thought to be honest.

Plugging
Tryed to get the tyre pluged the next day at my local Pro tyre, with no luck. They said that could only plug a tyre that had a hole of 6mm, mine had a peice of 18mm x 3mm glass though it. Oh well worth a try.

Has anyone any idea's what I can do with a brand new Diablo, I have thought of making a nice wall clock surround. Any other idea's???
