Bodywork and Tank 2003/4??
The company that supply the 'Venture Shield' stone chip protection product have different kits for 2003 and 2004 999BP's. I don't understand this as I thought the bodywork and the tank were identical on these model years. Can anyone confirm this or tell me what the differences are please

Should be the same, except for the 749R which has a larger tank that the Bips/Ss.

Glen - don't the 2004 models have the restyled vents, or is that 2005?
Maybe this is what they mean?

As far as I know it is the 2005 that has lost the top vents in the nose cone. Pointed this out to them but they were adament they had different templates for 03 and 04 models.
I thought there there might be some subbtle change in the curve on the front mudguard or something like that which would mean the shielding wouldn't fit properly.
Anyway I have told them mine is an 04 so hopefully it should fit.

Well I said send me the 2004 kit and I got a kit without cutouts for the top vents. Surely that should be for the 2005 model!!!!!

This is the second time this has gone wrong. The first time they sent a kit for a Suzuki 600!

Third time lucky.
