front sprocket removal
Is there a knack to it before I break something with a big hammer. I've got the locking plate off and removed the chain, but the sprocket doesn't want to know. I'm guessing it's not been off in a while. I tried to use a small 3 legged puller to pull it off but broke the puller.

Once the plate is off they should slide straight off.

Soak it overnight in penetrating fluid - PlusGas or WD40.

Make a puller out of a piece of metal with two holes for longer bolts to go into the sprocket. Put the piece of metal over the output shaft (so it can't go anywhere) and then the bolts into the sprocket. Tighten the bolts to pull the sprocket out - half a turn on each bolt otherwise you'll pull it off crooked.
