Which is a damn shame as they exited stage left at a cruical moment in today's first race....

Gutted.

Thanks for all the great offers after the race. I couldn't hope to blow up infront of a nicer bunch of people!

Apparently I missed quite a spectactular site - you going down the straight with the bike on fire. Didn't know there was a stunt show as well!

Shame I missed it all as I was so far back. Just came out of clearways and ran through a big cloud of black smoke and wondered who was having a bbq in the pits!

At least you've got 4 weeks to get it sorted - didn't Phil_H just acquire a spare engine...?

the belly pan looked quite spectacular as Ali went past the start finish line--it was glowing a bit!!!!!!!! looked like a mobile BBQ----commiserations and i hope you get things patched up before cadwell

If previous repairs are anything to go by, Ali will have that engine patched up already with gaffer tape and extensive hammer fettling.

First one to go pop this year though - watch out you other smokers!!

There must be a 620 with your name on it Ali
