German translation... help

Hi,

What does "mit ABE passend" mean in an ad for an exhaust can?
Does it mean it's a road/race use silencer? Unfortunately Google can't help me about the "ABE" stuff.

It means it's road legal in Germany.

Btw, I'm looking for 1 RH cheap race can in good condition (by example you crashed the LH one...), for any Ducati model, I want to be creative

Yeah I used Google it works in the same way. But I don't think Babelfish would have given me the definition of ABE

which was my real problem.

It seems that monster silencers will also work for a carb'ed bike according to this thread:

They do seem to go for quite a bit - as I've been wanting some low level (prefer Road legal but not essential) can for my 93 900ss.

Tonio,

Are you just looking for any can, or a specific can to fit your pipework? The one in Germany is an original and bloody heavy! I can't imagine that carrying two of them on the back of your bike is good for acceleration....

I'd recommend trying any autojumble. I saw loads of pairs of carbon cans for about £70-90 at the last BMF. Not too pretty, but miles lighter.
