Started messing about with the bodywork/handlebar posistioning on my 600SS.Is there any A C U restriction requirement regarding clearence etc i need to be aware of
Yes, you must be able to turn the bars fully in both directions (you can limit this by using 'lock stops') and not catch on anything - or trap your thumbs againt the tank etc.
Oh, and just to be safe, all bodywork must be made from lead
One thing they checked me on several times was the throttle...making sure it returned back to stop quick enough.??.....never had too much of a problem but was advised it can fail if it sticks.?
I had loads of problems with this, and all it turned out to be was the closer cable being old and gunky, so we just took it off. You don't need a closing cable as the springs on those Mikuni carbs are vicious enough anyway!

Yup we have done the same, A lighter throttle too.
