The simple pleasures.......
Mate of mine owns a MZ ETZ125 as a commuter bike.Recently it 'seized up' on him on the way home.Muggins here volunteered his services to repair said beast.Man,I had forgot what a pleasure it was to work on an old nail such as this.I swear the whole bike can be dismantled with a 13mm spanner and a big hammer!Try doing that on your 996R!

Top end came off in about 5 mins,...and this is what I found.The little bit are the piston ring and what is left of the little end bearing.

Not much left of the piston skirt either!Most of it was left in the transfer ports!

Yep,thats about right.
There is a complete engine on fleabay at the mo for £20.
