Special Lanes for Multi Passengered Cars
What do you you think of this idea which will penalise drivers of cars who have no passengers? As if we don't have enough to contend with when going about our daily business, without this crackpot idea.
It will be very convenient for our politicians in their chauffeur driven cars.
How much longer do we have to tolerate these nutters.

Works very well in the states and the cops are pretty keen to bust you for it too.

Could be a good idea in reducing traffic on the road - surely that's in our interests both from an environmental and motorcycle point of view?

Purely from a safety point of view I think it could cause problems.

The scheme I have seen has the multi passenger lane on the right of the outside overtaking lane. This means that you are going to have slow moving traffic moving from the additional lane into the path of fast moving traffic, when they want to pull across to junctions, or if they encounter slow moving traffic in the additional lane, they will effectively undertake it in the outside overtaking lane.

Are there not other things in greater need of public money?
