Can you recommend a shopping cart?
Can anyone recommend a shopping cart and merchant facility for online shopping.

I was thinking about romancart.com for the cart (have used this before) and protx.co.uk or worldpay.co.uk for the merchant facility.

Any thoughts?

Actinic seems to be the most popular shopping cart, but I've never used it personally.

Worldpay is a pretty good system, well know, trusted, easy to use. I've set it up for a few sites now and always works fine.

Highly recommended - completely configurable via browser. Goto http://www.ttoc.co.uk and click on shop for an example of it in practice.

Worldpay is good we have used them for over 3 years, however they take a high rate of around 5% initialy for all sales processed, however this is reviewed after a few months and can drop as low as 2%, chargebacks cost you 10% each time but they do have some good systems for checking fraudulent card deals that you can use, if your not doing a great deal of sales a day then manualy confirming payments keeps the chargebacks down, you can also block purchases from certain countys with high fraud rates such as Russia, Portugal etc.
