I would think that being able to say you have raced a Ducati is special enough but, being able to say you have raced at somewhere like Assen - now that is REALLY awesome.

Be interested to know how much it cost for the weekend, after all it is a budget series,
I worked out it would have cost me near on £500, for fuel, ferry, trackday, race entry, food etc.
Possibly acceptable if you get good weather for the weekend, but if the weather had been like much of the UK iy may have been a different story.

Oh yes lets go again

Kev. Three of us hired a van which is an expense we do not usually have. But including that and the all the other costs it was about £300.00 each which I think is good value for the weekend we had.

Boys

Dont worry I will be with Ron & Ton from the Dutch Club on the Giro next week and no doubt we will have a chat over a few beers.

From talking to Ton yesterday, to thank him, we should be able to go next year, but we wll need to commit to 44 on the grid to ensure that we keep our race. That is what you should be striving for, I need a committed 40+ racers for next year and then we will get a grid

I have paid:

£110 to cover ferry, fuel and hotel (2 nights @ €30)
£120ish to cover entry fees and trackday sessions
£30 on food and drink

It could have been cheaper if we didn't stay in the hotel, but the price was too cheap not to take!

For me it worked out no more expensive than going to a weekend meet at somewhere like Cadwell and staying in a local B&B for the two nights.

Chris

We could only commit 44 riders to Brands and unless we maintain two grids at the UK rounds I can see the number of DD entries dropping if we have to resort to quallifying for 34 or so places on the grids. the idea of me racing to my budget is so that I can continue racing next year and the year after if I don't let my racing get me into debt.
Antony's £260 does make it look like very good value only slightly more than what a two day DSC trackday will cost me at Cadwell, may come down to the case of one or the other in the future, and at £130 entry at Brands I'm not suprised some riders dropped that round in favour of Assen,

Steve as you say the weather was superb and if you could gaurantee it would be the same next year I will start budgeting my £260 for it now and arrange sharing transport.
