748 clutch plate fitting question (someone must know)
Hi,

Just fitting my new clutch basket and plates and I notice that the plain plates have a notch cut out and I was wondering whether they need to be aligned or should they be staggered to ensure even weight distribution.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Justin

Doesn't matter which way they go in.The only important one is the dished plate(got a dot punch on it). That must go in the correct place.

Yep as Jasper says don't worry about the ickle cut outs I put them all over the place.

As Jasper says just make sure the dished plate is in the right place and the correct way round

Each of the non friction plates has a small semi circular notch cut out of the outer edge.

But as the later posts have said. No need to align these.

Thanks Chaps !!
