900SS carbed engine
Does anybody have a spare engine that they wouldn't mind parting with? We havn't had a chance to look at the internal damage properly so we don't know if the top end is ok. Is it likely or impossible that the damage could be contained to the bottom end?

My Dad's 900SS threw a rod at the trackday (Pembrey). It now has a huge f'ing hole in the front of the engine casing below the front cylinder. Tons of oil everywhere and lumps of metal. Smashed the starter motor to bits too.

I know Mark has a spare 900SS engine that he may sell you - I'll let him know and get him to contact you.

Truth be told, I have a "Saved Search" on eBay for all things Supersport. I check it most mornings, and had just done so when I noticed this post.

It was easy enough just to add the word "engine" to limit the search. There's a 600ss engine up there too at the moment.

However, I shall wear the badge with some pride.

Cheers Phill. We had seen that motor but were a bit wary as the engine numbers have been removed and we know nothing of its history, milage etc.

Mark has PM'd me and depending on the pictures/price and my fathers final word we might be interested in his engine.
