Slightly Off Topic Car Question
Pick my New car on the 1st sept never had a new one before so do i have to run it in ie; 500mls with a rev limit sort of thing ??.
Sorry if i'm stating the obvious but i've never had a new car before !!!

Generally have a look on a forum specific to that vehicle as there are different trains of thought for most cars.

Assuming that you can still get the Berkely 3 weelers, which from your purchase you obviously can, I don`t think you will have to run it in to carefully, those old villiers engines needed a good thrashing!

Talk to the dealer when you pick the car up Nigel, every manufacturer has differnet ideas about "running in" mate

Not many cars need complicated running procedures in now days. I had a new VW diesel and all I had to do was keep the rev's below a limit for the first 500 miles or so.

Did not need an oil change or "look at" until the automatic service schedule light came on .... 18,400 miles later

Did drink about 3 ltr of oil in the first 10,000 mile until everything bedded in.
