New job - unsure of internet policy
I start a new job on 8th March and I am not sure of their internet policy, so may not be on the board for a while after this friday as I dont have access at home.

I am fairly sure that I will still be able to access the board from the new place, but we will see. So, if you don't hear from me for the next couple of weeks, don't worry, I havent crashed or anything (he says, hoping not to tempt fate, fingers crossed, touch wood etc etc)
Having said that, no chance of riding today, theres a blanket of snow everywhere.
cheers,
Ben

Good luck in the new job Ben, dont push the use of company access too far tho M8, one of the guys from my company got the push for perving at work and got all "personal" access stopped for a year!
Ride safe.

Hmmm, dodgy one this....

The company I last worked for was quite happy for people to surf anywhere (within reason) during peoples lunch time UNTIL they installed 'business critical' software that relies on the net for part of its operation......

THEN

NO-ONE was allowed to use the net for NON-BUSINESS reasons at anytime, unless they had their own dedicated connection. People did get a telling off...including me as thats when I first really started looking at the DSC site and searching for Duke stuff.

Other people did get written warnings for continued 'abuse' and be warned my company also declared that ALL and ANY e-mails were the property of the company and could be read and disclosed at will

Good luck - Frank

There's plenty if you Google for them - just find one that your firewall hasn't blocked.

Or you could be really clever and setup terminal services on your home PC, so you can connect to it via the web through your work PC and surf happily in the knowledge that nobody can ever find out what you're doing. Not that I'd ever do that. Oh no, not me.
