clutch plate prob
trying to fit this plate to my 748 (see pic) took the orig one off but cannot get the centre (don`t know what its called) bit out.....do i need a part for the centre of the new plate ???

Hi Unc
The Push rod top hat and the bearing it sits in should tap out of your old pressure plate with out to much force, I did Senna3's for him the other day using a socket to drift it in to the new plate.

ah ha ! yes, i did give the bearing a tap (lightly) but was concerened that i might break something....i got the top hat out but it was the bearing that was proving stubborn..will give it another go..

Maybe a bit cold in the garage for doing this sort of thing at the moment, try a bit of WD40 around the outside of the bearing and do it in the warm, could even try warming the pressure plate with a hair dryer (Lambretta or Vespa)
