Very, very, very bad news:

"Police believe a sledge hammer was used to smash a granite plaque in the garden in Ballymoney, County Antrim, sometime between midnight on Wednesday and 0800 BST on Thursday."

That's appauling ! A sledge hammer is not the sort of thing your average kid on the street has lying around. Someone has done this deliberately, not mindless vandal but someones calculated it which makes it worse.
