Have you ever said,"I wish I had never sold that bike"?Well I have on numerous occasions.Every time I see a nice Triumph Bonneville I get all dewy eyed over the last one I owned.It was a 1979 T140D a limited edition with mag wheels.Just recently I had the urge to buy another one,...mebbe its summat to to with the Bonneville series being 50 years old this year,mebbe its to much chemo that has addled my brain or mebbe its talking too long with old giffers like Marko   ,....whatever,I had to have one.A nice one popped up recently and after a bit of haggling a sensible sale price was agreed.I picked it up yesterday and I'm chuffed to bits with it.Its an American export model,hence the smaller tank,excellent condition,....just needs a few bits and bobs to finish it off.Just the job for cruising down to the pub for a spot of sunday lunch. Photo's are of a skinny old me in '79 on my origional bike and then my latest plaything. | |
